OUCH...it got me too!

Well Family, it's time I provided an update on a few things happening over here in Oregon.

First of all, thanks to all who prayed or fasted on behalf our family last week. I had my interview at Apple Friday, and it went well. I left feeling very confident I'd get an offer. It is now Wednesday, and I've not received any word. The recruiter told me they were eager to get this moving quickly. But I think my new boss may have left for vacation for a few days as well. So who knows. I feel if it was a definite no, then I'd know quickly, probably by now already. So...keep those prayers coming. I'll let you all know the outcome when I know.

Now, to a more serious matter. I have observed a interesting mark on my forearm recently, and decided to get it checked. The removed it last Thursday and did a biopsy. Well, I learned yesterday that I have Basal Cell Cancer (Cancer Foundation). This is the same thing Dad has fought, and Robert recently went under the knife on his ear. While very common, and not life threating, I'm taking it very seriously as I'm still quite young. Further, I wear some kind of SPF lotion everyday on my face and neck etc. So I was surprised. I'm only 40. WORD TO THE WISE...WEAR SPF lotion or sunblock EVERYDAY!!! It's in the genes guys. It's in the genes. I found the following Eucerin lotion recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation. There are many there to be sure. But this was actually pretty cheap, and you can get it on-line. DO IT!!

At the end of the day, I'll probably be OK. But it was just one more thing to deal with in our complex family life here in Oregon. Crazy. Maybe all the sun in Arizona got me?

Anyway, I've got an additional surprise for the fam I'll post in a day or so. I think many will have a laugh. Stay tuned.

Love to all.

Thank You, Zobies!

Unfortunately, I forgot my camera, so we have no pictures of the cousins together yesterday, but I wanted to thank Anneli and Melanie for watching Sam and Eliza when we went to the temple on Saturday. When Luke and I make the drive to Omaha lately, we think how sad it is that no Sneddons are in Nebraska anymore, but yet, there are now! (We also think we might be crazy to drive with our kids for a total of 5 hours in a day).

We had a fun dinner at the classic Spaghetti Works, enjoyed the unusually warm evening strolling around the Old Market, and then we ended with ice cream at Ted and Wally's. Eliza thought it was hilarious how we shared ice cream, stabbing our spoons here and there--she said "it was a dream" and giggled. Sounds fun, huh? It was all fun except for Sam screaming for twenty minutes on our way home. He was sooooo tired. And then he just crashed.
Thanks again, Mel and Anneli! :)
